Tokyo Mew Mew
Ichigo Momomiya; An ordinary, eleven year old girl. Or she was until the fateful day at the musseum with her crush, Masaya Aoyama. Suddenly, after running off to get 'something to drink' (she was embarresed; she had just fallen over and kissed him! ^^) she helps out Lettuce, along with three other girls. An earthquake begins, and Ichigo sees a cat before her. She begins to merge with it... and thats all she can remember before Masaya takes her home.
The next day, she thinks something is up; she isn't acting like herself at all! Then, when talking to Masaya, something appears; a monster! Shockingly, Ichigo transforms and defeats the 'Kira Anima' as it is called, and talks to Ryou, who's fault it is for her transformation. Now, Ichigo must save the world from Kish and his Kira Anima, along with her friends, Mint, Lettuce, Pudding, and Zakuro, as well as keeping her secret locked away from Masaya!
Opinion
The story of Ichigo and co. saving the world is fun, and the aspect of keeping her secret identity unknown from Masaya after going public is fun, and the rivalry's and friendships that devolop. I love the rivalry/friendhsip between Mint and Ichigo, its so challenging! Friends one minute, not the next; its cool! I also like the relationship between Ichigo and Masaya; it improves greatly as time goes on! I like most of the heroines, but I don't like Pudding too much; she's too childish for me to like. I like Zakuro and Ichigo best, then Mint, then Lettuce. Or sort off. The only downside to this manga is that the storyline isn't very surprising, you could probably guess what would happen next. Still, its very good anyways! ^^
One wierd thing about this manga is that on the ads, it says 'If You Like Sailor Moon, You'll Love Tokyo Mew Mew!" So you would think I like Sailor Moon, right? But I don't. I hate it. Wierd, huh? ^^

Info: Ichigo is the first mew mew to be discovered by Ryou. When all five of the girls are joined together, she is dubbed as the 'leader' and can combine all their powers to make a stronger power. The story of Tokyo Mew Mew revolves around her life, basically. She has a crush on Masaya Aoyama and often hopes that she he likes her; which, one day, he tells her his feelings, and they do indead become a couple. When Ichigo gets excited/scared, her cat ears pop out. When she gets overexcited, she actually turns into a real cat! ^^ Ichigo is kind, and acts much like a cat due to her cat dna genes. Ichigo's mark is on her leg.

Info: Mint was the second mew mew to be discovered. Mint and Ichigo were probably more like rivals than anything at first, and often Mint was the one who sneered at Ichigo and she wasn't as posh as her. However, as the story goes on, they sort of become best friends. Mint idolizes Zakuro the first time she sees her, since she is so pretty, and she does ballet, like Mint. Mint also attends many other classes; often skipping work early, or drinking tea at three. Mint's mark is on her back.

Info: Lettuce is often singled out from her group of so called 'friends' before she found she was a mew mew. She worries a lot, and was a bit slow on the uptake with them, so they picked on her. However, in the mew mews, she is an important member being the only aquatic animal of the five, and has the ability to transform her legs into flippers, like a mermaid. In the cafe, she often breaks things, especially when Pudding goes flying around doing her tricks. She has a good heart, and is kind. The first reaction when she found out she was a mew mew turned her from good to bad, but thanks to Ichigo, she calmed down. Lettuce's mark is on her lower neck.

Info: Pudding is pretty lively and open, and often does tricks so she can earn money! Pudding wanted to work at the cafe, and spends most of her time performing, and often scares Lettuce in the meantime. She seems to see Ichigo as a big sister, since she often hangs around her. Lettuce often compliments her of being cute. She often says the wrong thing at the wrong time. When captured by Tart one time, she wasn't scared in the slightest, and carried on in her usual ways. She is always on the move! Pudding's mark is on her forehead.

Info: Zakuro is pretty cold and distant. When the mew mews first met her, and when she was attacked, she refused to join their group. However, after several battles against Kish, she decided that she would make an 'exception' for them, and joins the mew mews. She hardly talks, and has been idolized by Mint. When she works at the cafe, she is often stared at since she is a famous model, and she gets annoyed. Though she doesn't show it, she cares about the others. Zakuro's mark is around her belly button.
